Gage is One!!!

Gage turned one this last Sunday (Superbowl Sunday) ! My mother is going to be out of town for his party next week and wanted to see him, so we had planned to go over on his birthday. Well, I heard that a storm was coming in on Sunday and so went over to Dad and Lori's on Saturday evening. I woke up Sunday morning and holy crap the storm was BAD! Anyone who lives in South Jordan knows what I am talking about! Anyway, I was determined to get to my Mother's so I got Gage and we got into the car and started driving. The snow was so deep in the neighborhood and the roads hadn't been plowed! My bumper was pushing snow because it was so high on the roads! Anyway I didn't quite make it out of the neighborhood before I got stuck! REALLY stuck! Three men in their church clothes stopped and tried to push me out and the car just wouldn't budge. One offered to give us a ride back, but I just called my Dad to come and help me. So, my Dad came and brought a shovel and dug me out! I was amazed that three men couldn't do it, but my dad did it by himself. Anyway, we got out of the neighborhood and by the time we got to Redwood it was a lot better! We made it just fine after that and Gage had a fun day at Grandma's. He got some fun toys: a pushing lawn mower, a little t-ball thing, and a couple of fun books. He pushed the lawn mower all over the house. We made him a cake and let him eat it on a big sheet on the floor. He had just woken up and so he didn't go too crazy with the cake, but still got his hands nice and dirty! When we were getting ready to leave, I put Gage's coat on (which is very puffy) and he started to walk away, tripped, and went face first into the hardwood floor! It gave him a bloody nose! Poor baby! And, on his birthday of all things! Anyway, needless to say it was an eventfull day and I think Gage had a great time until the end when he got hurt. His birthday party is going to be Sunday, February 10th @ 2:00. It will be at Chuck E. Cheese (10535 S. State Street). I am sending the invitations today so they should be arriving tomorrow or the next day. (I know, I'm late! I keep forgetting stamps!) If, however you don't receive an invitation and you think you should have gotten one, either call me or just come! Also - I got Gage's pictures done and ordered a whole bunch, so I will post some here and will be handing them out to family in a couple weeks when I get them. I did get an email to veiw them online and that is how I'm able to post them. If you can't wait and would like to veiw them online too, just let me know and I'll email you the log in.
