CHAOS!

I have been meaning to get on and update for a little while now, and our lives have just been SO chaotic lately!!! So I don't have pictures yet and I wanted to post some, but I will at least do a quick update and post pictures later. We had Gage's birthday party and it was at Chuck E. Cheese's. It turned out really well and Gage had a great time! Thanks to everyone who came and thanks for the gifts. He loves all of them!!! Cody and I went looking at houses in Saratoga Springs and found one that we LOVED! We appreciate Big D and Trinity coming to check it out and help Cody feel better about spending the money! I really appreciate that part! :) We made an offer, and they accepted! (woo-hoo!) So, I was terrified that it would take a long time to sell our house because it seemed every house we looked at had been on the market FOREVER! I decided that once our offer was accepted we needed to get our house on the market ASAP. So, Cody went out of town to Reno for a week and I got busy. I called Tina, the agent who helped us find our house 3 years ago, and asked if she would be willing to sell it now. Of course she was and came over that night and we got it up for sell the next morning. Right off the bat we had someone wanting to look at it that night at 7:00 pm. Well, the keybox they put on the door was "malfunctioning" and they wanted me to come let them in. I had to find a dress for my best friend's wedding the next day and I was a bridesmaid, not to mention I was in SALT LAKE! So, I called my neighbor and good friend and she was nice enough to use the garage code and let them in. Phew! So, the next day (Thursday) we got an offer! I couldn't believe it. Of course it was lower than we wanted, which was expected, so we needed to counter. By this point, Cody is still out of town and I am a bridesmaid at my girlfriend's wedding so I have the luncheon and reception to attend and don't have access to a fax machine. So, I had about an hour between the luncheon and reception to get changed into my dress, freshen up, and sign and fax my counter-offer back. So, I get the paperwork, rush through and sign it all, and try to fax it back. JAM. JAM AGAIN. All this stupid machine would do is JAM!!! Gage hasn't had a nap and is crying at my feet and I am SO frustrated!!! I am now almost 1/2 an hour late going to the reception and I'm not quite ready and my offer is not sent. Somebody just kill me, right?! I called mom and luckily she was on her way home and said she would fax it and I could leave. I did. I made it to the reception right when she wanted to take pictures with her bridesmaids and it all worked out. What a busy busy night!

So, this morning I got a call that we had a second offer on the house! I told Cody to watch out because my prayers must be pretty powerful! ;) Lori's sure it's sweet grandma Mathew's prayers that are doing the trick! She is probably right. Anyway, we countered that one too and called both agents and told them that we had two offers so the first one to accept the counter wins! Now it is just a waiting game. So, there you have it. Oh, and I will post a picture of our soon to be new house. Huge thanks to Cody's A. Lauri for helping us out with our offer on the new house. We love you so much, Lauri! We owe ya. Our lender had to call her for some info and when they got off the phone she looked at me and said, "You have an awesome agent helping you, that's so nice. She really knows what she's doing." Anyway, life has been so crazy so I will try to update this more - but no promises! Thanks for sharing our crazy life!
